Modern Cabin Design
The interior design for this kitchen was partially dictated by the size of the space. Because it was going to be used mainly as a short-term vacation rental, it was important to have enough storage for the basic necessities, but not be an overwhelming part of the living space. The owners wanted a kitchen design that was modern and minimalist but also fit into the raw, natural surroundings. We went with a dark and highly durable finish on the cabinets, and accented them with a more rustic, solid wood, live-edge dining table. The kitchen looks out toward the treeline through large open windows that, together with the high ceilings, maximize the openness of the space, in spite of its relatively small footprint.

Family Kitchen Design
This kitchen design was part of a major renovation including much of the main floor of the home. Consisting of primarily white cabinets, it was the first to use our new custom stain colour “Whiskey” (pictured on maple cabinets). The design features a custom range hood, hidden cabinets in the island, a built-in wine rack and a built-in docking station drawer for charging your devices. Custom interior design has the benefit of allowing you to add touches that are unique to your family and function in a way that is best for you. This kitchen is full of personalization and special features the homeowners adore.

Symmetrical Kitchen Design
A collaboration with Jenna Vilela, this kitchen design presented unique challenges. The original kitchen had a peninsula which made the working space feel tight and closed-off and the kitchen has load-bearing walls that run on the diagonal (pictured below)
To balance the asymmetry of the design, this area was built to symmetrical perfection. What used to be a stand-alone dining room now features a large island with seating for four and a custom built-in with open display shelves, a coffee station and extra storage. The large pendant lights illuminate the island and add drama to the design.
When faced with unique or difficult layouts, custom interior design and cabinetry excel. Our Design Team was able to take the challenges presented and create an open and stunning kitchen the homeowners love, maximizing storage without missing out on style.

Modern Kitchen Design
This high-contrast, black and white kitchen design is sleek and modern, suiting the homeowners’ style perfectly. Featuring a waterfall detail on the island and lots of accent lighting, the design focuses on functional storage, ample countertop and seating, and a simple but bold aesthetic.
Adding glass cabinet doors to flank the drink/coffee station on the far wall created space to display glassware and added a visual detail to break up the expanse of cabinets. Putting lighting inside makes it pop and accents the overall symmetry of the design.

Light and White Kitchen Design
White kitchens have always been a popular choice and we don’t see that changing any time soon. With a simple colour palette, white kitchens feel fresh, light and clean, but simple doesn’t always mean “easy to design”. When conceptualizing a white kitchen that has a showstopping presence like this one, additional care needs to be taken to balance shapes and textures so the final product has as much visual interest as its more colourful counterparts. In this large, open-concept kitchen, there is no shortage of thoughtful detail, tons of functional storage and a style that is cohesive with the rest of the home.
